Mr. Galajda

David has over 38 years of teaching experience, teaching students in science (grades 9,10), environmental science (grade 11 & AP) and biology (grades 11 & 12 & AP). Many of his biology students have earned top scores on AP exams and biology competitions and have gone on to further their studies in biology/ medicine/ health science/ environmental science in post-secondary institutions world-wide. For over 33 years, he has held many positions teaching in the classroom ranging from Science Department Head, Administrator, Leadership Team member and Director of Residential life at a prestigious international boarding school in Ontario.

Since retiring from active classroom teaching, David has focused on developing his skills teaching students AP biology and AP environmental science on-line. On-line teaching requires special skills in order to create an optimum learning environment for students. By using a variety of teaching strategies, David creates a positive environment that strives to meet the unique learning needs of students in order to keep them engaged and further develop their critical thinking skills. David’s extensive experience as a science and biology teacher and tutor, as well as technological ability, give him the skills required to teach in a virtual setting in order to foster a positive rapport with students so that they can maximize their learning potential.
