Science: Grade 6 to AP Exams
A comprehensive science curriculum from Grade 6 to AP, aligned with BC, Ontario and American standards, in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Earth/Space Science.
Science
Pre-AP & AP Biology
Review the curriculum, practise multiple-choice and free-response questions and understand biology rather than memorize it.
AP Biology course will review the curricula, teach students how to write multiple choice exams and free response questions, review practice test questions and prepare students to write the AP Biology exam. It will also help students understand biology (vs. memorize) and will reinforce key concepts (the ‘big ideas’) students covered in their biology curriculum during their science courses. Students taking this course should have a minimum of grade 10 science/biology or were successful in completing the AP-Prep course. This course will also challenge students to think critically as they problem solve various problems and questions during the weekly classes in a format similar to the AP Biology exam.
What students say
Great news – I got a 5 on the AP bio exam. Thank you for all of your help this year - you’re an amazing teacher and I literally still can’t even believe I did that well on the exam.
I just wanted to take some time to thank you for your hard work and fantastic instruction in our AP Bio class; I received a 5 and am very stoked as I came from a background that basically lacked any biology other than the little bits learned in grades 8 & 9. Once again, thank you very much for keeping us on track. I thoroughly enjoyed every class, especially the excitement you bring through your teaching style and personality!
